8:30 pm PLJ

PLJ are a 4-piece instrumental group from London. They began working together in 2021 as a one-off meeting to blow off post-covid cobwebs but have since gone on to keep writing and recording together. Last year, PLJ released “Songs From The Lightship” — a compilation of famous songs completely re-worked into a Jazz/Soul/Pop sound. This has since formed the basis of their original compositions, taking further inspirations from Tigran Hamasyan, Snarky Puppy, and other instrumental artists.

9:00pm MILES HORN

9:00pm MILES HORN

Miles Horn graduated from Cambridge University with a Science degree before diving headfirst into the music industry with a job at a major record label. There he worked on campaigns for global superstars and was given the honourable task of buying Taylor Swift American candy whenever she came to town. Soon, however, Miles became disillusioned with being another cog in the machine and broke away to embark on his own artist project. His music is inspired by the likes of Sam Fender, Paolo Nutini, James Bay, and John Mayer. It’s Indie-rock music with a sprinkling of Americana. Since 2017 Miles has been championed by BBC Introducing Oxford, Caffe Nero and Sofar Sounds. He’s based in London now, regularly playing at venues like The Bedford (his local) and The Half Moon Putney. 2023 saw the release of a new EP ‘Where The Flowers Grow’ which gathered praise from BBC Introducing Oxford once again as well as a sold out show at The Bedford earlier in the year. Backed by an incredible band, Miles’ headline show at The Camden Club on 9th November will be a night you won’t want to miss.

10:00pm THE JULIA SET

10:00pm THE JULIA SET

Based in and around the West London area, The Julia Set was formed in 2007 by a guitarist and a bass player who wanted to play “proper” rock. Gigs have included The 12 Bar Club, The Alleycat, Fiddlers Elbow and The Water Rats, amongst others. As well as an EP (“Skyline“) recent releases have been singles such as “Wild Wood” and “Love & Hate“, “Is This Your First Time?“, ”Finding Out” and more. We would just describe ourselves, as an Indie Rock band seasoned with a hint of retro. We love the big, overlaid guitar sound. The line-up is Mickey Berry on lead vocals, Simon Goode on guitar, Tom Smith on the drums and Mike Atkinson on bass & backing vocals.
