Brooke say’s: ‘ I think Music has helped me escape from some realities that have been too difficult to handle, and along the way of me thinking i needed to fit in, it has made me realize, that I would rather not be something that ‘fit’s ‘ but actually something that stands out, and with that, to me, a world without music, is like a body without a soul

AN AFTERNOON WITH THE CLAIRE HAMILL BANDwith support from DANDELION CHARM

Claire Hamill is a pioneering British singer-songwriter whose career has gracefully traversed folk, rock, ambient and progressive genres for over five decades. Launching her debut at just 17 with One House Left Standing (1971), she quickly earned comparisons to Joni Mitchell while forging a deeply individual artistic voice.
In the 1970s she released celebrated albums such as October, Stage Door Johnnies and Abracadabra, and toured with John Martyn, Procol Harum, Jethro Tull and King Crimson. She went on to collaborate widely, contributing vocals to Steve Howe’s The Steve Howe Album, Jon & Vangelis’s The Friends of Mr Cairo, the jazz-fusion group Morrissey-Mullen, and Wishbone Ash.
Her solo career pushed into bold new territory with Touchpaper (1984) and the groundbreaking Voices (1986), a wordless vocal album that anticipated the rise of ambient and new age music. Her work has been featured widely on television and film, with her songs covered by international artists.
In the 2000s Claire returned to a prolific run of albums including The Lost & the Lovers (2004), When Daylight Arrives (2015), Over Dark Apples (2019), A Pocket Full of Love Songs (2022) and most recently Troubadour (2025). She also recorded two albums with the progressive rock band Fragile (Golden Fragments, 2020, and Beyond, 2021), contributing lead vocals to their Yes-inspired original material. Now performing with the Claire Hamill Band, she brings fresh energy to her songwriting and live shows, continuing to evolve as one of Britain’s most distinctive and enduring independent artists.

Support act DANDELION CHARM combine prog, folk and rock influences into a luxurious blend of intricate harmonies, soaring melodies, superb musicianship and heartfelt lyrics. Imagine Fleetwood Mac meets Opeth or CSN meets Yes.

The Mighty Heartache + Chloë Wilson + Lost Chimes
Jun

The Mighty Heartache + Chloë Wilson + Lost Chimes

3 great acts - an evening of all-star entertainment.

The Mighty Heartache (custom-made for Valentine's weekend)

Rock'n'roll with the swagger and heart of the 70s, the spirit of the 60’s, and a dollop of country and rockabilly. Words to make you think, maybe an occasional tear, and a beat to get your feet a dancin’.

Think Elvis C meets Elvis P with the energy of the Clash, the raunch of The Stones, all filtered through in Nashville and dropped into the heart of the Finchley Delta.

The set will include a mix of old favourites along with new tracks from our recently released EP Love's Ancient Song (Sept 2025).

Chloë Wilson

Independent singer-songwriter Chloë Wilson brings a bold new voice to the UK music scene. Her sound is timeless yet modern, blending raw storytelling with sweeping melodies and a striking vocal presence.

Her songs unravel the chaos of heartbreak, love, and self-discovery with honesty and intensity, creating music that feels nostalgic and contemporary. With each release, she crafts a world that is emotive, powerful, and unafraid to feel every feeling.

Songs from her debut EP All My Feelings Falling Out (October 2025), will feature tonight’s set.

Lost Chimes

Lost Chimes are Gemma and Nicky Kirk. They are renowned for Gemma’s “sublime voice”, Nicky’s intricate guitar work, sophisticated songwriting, and their spine-tingling live sound. They have received accolades for several live performances on BBC Radio and other radio stations.

In 2021 their self-titled debut gained them many plaudits for the band’s haunting cover of Joy Division’s ‘Love will tear us apart’ and standout single, ‘Island’.

Their 2025 album ‘Now I Swim’ is a deeply personal record exploring ancestry, trauma and identity. Shades of 70s rock abound, drawing comparisons with Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior and Steely Dan.

PANDAMOANIUM and SPLINKSunday lunch and afternoon

PANDAMOANIUM are an instrumental melody driven Progressive trio from Canterbury, blending rock, alternative rock, post rock, hard rock, folk and ambient into a genre-defying sound. Emerging in 2016, they have played many multiple band gigs and festivals sharing the stage with such luminaries as Soft Machine, A Formal Horse, Atomic Rooster, Splink, IT, Soulweaver, Pearl Handled Revolver, Famyne and many more.

SPLINK are proud to play what they describe as ‘no rules music’. As they put it themselves:
"WHAT IS NO RULES MUSIC? WELL, WE PLAY MUSIC FROM THE HEART THAT IS SOMETIMES AGGRESSIVE, SOMETIMES LAID BACK, SOMETIMES JAZZY, WE SEE NO REASON WHY TO STICK TO RULES ABOUT HOW CERTAIN MUSICAL GENRE SHOULD BE PLAYED, IF IT SOUNDS GOOD AND TOUCHES THE SOUL THEN WHY NOT.
THE ONE THING THAT TIES US TOGETHER IS THE LOVE OF AND JOY OF MUSIC AND IF YOU PLAY WITH AN OPEN HEART AND MIND THEN HOPEFULLY THE AUDIENCE WILL FEEL THE HONESTY OF THE MUSIC AND COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE, COME AND ENJOY THE JOURNEY WITH US."
Splink’s third album, ‘Taklamakan’, is due for release this year.

“[Splink] merged Prog with Folk and elements of jazz and classical. Fast and fiery fiddle … lines interweaved with the guitar lines over the top of a solid rhythm section. The jagged rhythms and angular lead lines ….worked well and at different points during the set Vikki Ings’ violin playing reminded slightly of Geoffrey Richardson’s playing in Caravan. Fiery folk met intricate prog, and the melding of the two worked well. A splendid set” - At the Barrier.com

Teiger
Fast-moving
London trio Teiger have been described as enigmatic musical shapeshifters channelling psychedelic rock, textured folk, and soft, progressive metal to create collagist, atmospheric sounds that truly defy description.

With an arresting blend of power and intimacy, the band has gathered an impressive number of accolades despite only launching in 2022 - plays from BBC6’s Stu Maconie and BBC Introducing, a sold out vinyl release via Rough Trade, nominations for HRH Best New Band, Radio Wigwam’s Best Indie Rock award, as well as strong support from the press with features in Fireworks, Powerplay, PROG, Classic Rock and more....

The band has quickly become known on the UK festival circuit with appearances at
Cambridge Rock, Portals, Nene Valley, HRH, Soundle and Winter’s End

Teiger is led by the siren-like vocals and unorthodox guitar playing of Talie Rose
Eigeland, whose unusual approach is often likened to that of Beth Gibbons, Jeff
Buckley or Grace Slick. Against these are juxtaposed the sometimes intricate,
sometimes thunderous patterns of drummer Jon Steele and the highly melodic,
equally unorthodox bass playing of Phillip Eldridge-Smith.

Where many rock bands would choose a distorted sound to create tension, Teiger’s playful ferocity relies instead on dynamic contrast, haunting major-minor tugs and carefully crafted parts from all three players to create a captivating and intensely symbiotic atmosphere.

HamaSaari
Artisans
of a sound both massive and delicate, HamaSaari bring together elements of both classic and contemporary progressive rock. Drawing inspiration from acts such as Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree and Karnivool, they carefully shape and refine a musical and sensory journey. The band draws us into a storm-laden ritual, evoking imagery like falling raindrops scattered through a dark, clouded atmosphere, yet pierced by welcome glimmers of hope.

AN EVENING IN LONDON WITH MAGENTA With a special acoustic support from Chris and Dan Fry

AN EVENING WITH MAGENTA
Acoustic and electric performance celebrating 25 years of Magenta and the new album TAROT.
Special support from Chris & Dan Fry performing tracks from Chris Fry's new solo album.

Long-time Magenta members Christina Booth, Robert Reed and Chris Fry celebrate 25 years together this year. The album also features special guest Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train) on drums and Peter Jones and Steve Balsamo on backing vocals.
"It’s been a while since Magenta have released a new studio album," Magenta mastermind Rob Reed tells Prog Magazine. "As always, I’ve been busy with various other projects and have been waiting to find something new to say musically for the new album. We have released so many CDs, EPs and DVDs over the last 25 years, and I always aim to ensure every album is different and the sound ever evolving. This time I decided that I would write the material to suit Tina’s voice and during the writing process it became easy to imagine her singing it. Usually, I would just write the songs and hope that it was in her range. We took a lot of time making sure the songs were in the right key to get the most out of her voice.
"Musically I decided that I would look back to what the blueprint was when we started Magenta back 2001. I was, and still am, a massive fan of Renaissance, and when we made Revolutions, I was very much influenced by their unique sound. So, on this project I really wanted to have one distinct style, a mix of orchestra, guitars and keyboards but with the bass guitar loud and proud. I’m very pleased by what we’ve achieved and think that ‘Tarot’ is the most coherent and consistent Magenta album to date and can’t wait to unleash it to the world.”

The evening will commence with an acoustic set from Chris and Dan Fry., followed by an audience Q&A about the new album and the band’s 25th anniversary. Magenta will then play an acoustic and an electric set. A very special evening, not to be missed!

HELD BY TREES

HELD BY TREES

Not many bands can claim living DNA of their chief influences within their sound but Held By Trees are one. Debut album, Solace features contributions from eight Talk Talk/Mark Hollis alumni, as well as veterans of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Blur and blues/roots icon, Eric Bibb. Wide critical acclaim followed, and support from Guy Garvey and Stuart Maconie on BBC 6 Music and play on Radio 3. Released in April 2022, Solace charted on the official indie chart (number 4) and physical sales chart (number 23), thanks to press and media support for the fledgling project.
Held By Trees’ live iteration features guitar legend Robbie McIntosh (McCartney, The Pretenders, John Mayer, Talk Talk), Laurence Pendrous on keyboards (Mark Hollis, Anja Garbarek), Paul Beavis on drums (The Waterboys, Andy Fairweather-Low and the Low Riders, Bill Wyman), Andy Panayi on flute, clarinet and sax (Ronnie Scott, McCartney, Hollis). Held By Trees made its live debut in October 2022 and have played in respected venues across the UK, drawing enthusiastic audiences ready to hear exciting variation and improvisation in the performances.
This line-up found themselves at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in late 2022 recording two new EPs, one of live tracks from Solace and one of new music called Eventide, released in the summer of 2023.
2024 saw Held By Trees’ first collaboration with a vocalist; Martin Smith. Lay Your Troubles Down, a near 13 minute epic, was released on 21st June, with two more songs presented as an EP, Held By Trees & Martin Smith in the Autumn, followed by a short tour, including some dates with Martin guesting with the band.
Held By Trees released their second album, Hinterland, in April 2025. The new album features musicians from Supergrass, Slowdive, Swans, Band of Susans, Primal Scream, Wire, My Bloody Valentine as well as the returning Talk Talk/Hollis alumni and Mark Hollis’ son, Charlie. Hinterland has garnered widespread reviews from the likes of Uncut, RNR, Fireworks, The Daily Express, Prog Magazine, Magic Magazine (France) and multiple online blogs.

Some quotes from the press…
“Solace is played beautifully throughout…there are striking moments like the massive fuzz guitars of The Tree of Life segueing into a dialogue of muted brass…3/4 stars” - Mojo Magazine review of Solace (UK)
“…Lovely but very different guitar work… somehow sparse but also slightly proggy as well which I know will sound very appealing, almost like a perfect combination…” - Elizabeth Alker - Unclassified, BBC Radio 3
“Post-rock, ambient and prog are some of the genres that encapsulate the spectral majesty of the part improv natural world created by David Joseph and his seasoned musos. The six, including Joseph, who complimented the music with an individual mastery of instrumentation, seemed to suspend time for the gathered… New heroes of prog/post-rock have arrived” - Record Collector Magazine live review (UK)
“Held By Trees conjure light with resplendent sounds weaving magical spells… an intuitive, inspirational group.” – Prog Magazine live review (UK)
“Highly recommended for fans of Hollis’ sparse aesthetic. 4.5/5 stars” - Classic Pop Magazine review of Solace (UK)

THE BLACKHEART ORCHESTRA - SUNDAY LUNCHTIME LIVE IN LONDON

The Blackheart Orchestra are British multi-award winning, multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Plkington; together they comprise a two person ‘orchestra’ playing up to 13 instruments in their unique live show. From their onstage ‘musical space station’ they create highly emotional contemporary rock music featuring a multitude of sounds and atmospheres from acoustic and electric guitars, bass and bowed guitar to piano, organ, vintage synthesisers, omnichord, melodica and electric percussion. They have been described as a modern day Pink Floyd with influences from as far afield as Kate Bush, Portishead and Cocteau Twins to modern composers Steve Reich and Philip Glass. They combine their folk and rock roots with electronica and classical.
After having their Christmas single Winter Majesty on Radio 2, The Blackheart Orchestra set out on their 20 date Winterspring Tour that covers the whole of the UK in February and March. Playing favourites from their catalogue plus previewing songs from their forthcoming album ‘Arctic Deep Sea Diving’ the tour kicks off on Feb 5 and concludes with an End of Tour Matinee Spectacular Show at London’s Camden Club on March 29 promoted by London Prog Gigs.
Tour supports are incredible contralto songstress Autumn Dawn Leader who has opened for the band before and their new discovery Roan, an exciting new acoustic artist from South East England writing unguarded songs that “meet the listener in their depths”. The London show will feature TBO plus sets from both supports offering two and a half hours of music.

SWEETPOOL - SUNDAY LUNCH LIVE IN LONDON with guests GREGG MCKELLA (Paradise 9) and MALCOLM GALLOWAY (Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate)

SWEETPOOL create a hypnotic melting pot of psychedelic punk and motorik grooves. Powered by a pulsating rhythm section, e-drones, angular agit-pop guitar and bubbling synths, they simply don't bother to be bothered by anyone else’s rocking conventions. Think Can, Hawkwind, Wire hurled together with a dose of post punk sneer, joyous melodic choruses and live wig outs to melt the ear drums. Krautpunk - Prog Punk - whatever genre they aren’t, it's a wonderful whirl of excitement and totally addictive snake oil for the masses.
Sweetpool’s third album ‘3AM, A HEAD OF SNAKES’ will be officially released on March 27th on Limited Edition orange splatter Vinyl by Slow Century Records; pre-release copies will be available to purchase at the show!

GREGG MCKELLA is a singer/songwriter originally from Aylesbury and now living in Brighton. He also plays in Paradise 9, a 4-piece psych/proto-punk/space-rock band, and also with ambient dub infused combo Rubber Bus, and part of The Daevid Allen Glissando Guitar Orchestra performing the legendary seven-drone technique.
His new debut solo album, “Songs from the Underground”, released in December 2025, is a collection of songs written during his busking years in London in the 1990s. The songs vary from folksy driven to alternative indie rock, psych blues/song, Gregg has called “space-folk”.
Beyond his solo and band work, Gregg has collaborated with an extraordinary range of artists, including Nik Turner’s Inner City Unit, Mick Farren & The Portobello Allstars, Spirits Burning & Michael Moorcock, feat members of Pink Floyd, Gong, Hawkwind, Blue Öyster Cult, and many more. Gregg is now taking the album out on the road, playing many gigs and festivals in the UK and abroad.
“In summary, Songs from the Underground is a richly crafted debut that successfully blends diverse genre influences with deeply personal storytelling. Gregg McKella’s distinctive “space-folk” sound, combined with Martin Litmus’s expert production and the heartfelt lyricism throughout, marks this album as a significant contribution to the contemporary folk and psychedelic music scenes....” – JaceMediaMusic

MALCOLM GALLOWAY is one-half of HATS OFF GENTLEMEN IT’S ADEQUATE, who combine prog/alt/art-rock, with contemporary classical, minimalist, metal and electronic elements. They often explore scientific and science fiction themes. In 2025 they have released their critically acclaimed 8th album, 'The Uncertainty Principle'.
“Spiky neo-prog and art-rock. Never less than entertaining, passionate, humorous and committed” – Prog Magazine
