Rock for Unity

TICKETS

Celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) and Holi-the Indian Festival of Colour: MBE DJ Ritu is hosting anti-racism music event Rock for Unity at the Camden Club on 7th March.

Supported by Stand Up to Racism and Love Music Hate Racism–the event responds to the rise of right- wing populism and the threat it poses to women and gender minorities in the UK. A scintillating all-female Asian-heavy lineup amplifies that message loud on IWD–especially with critically-acclaimed headliners Sentience Machine, who mark the launch of their latest single, Human Stigma––a song that was written in the wake of Brexit and which gives the middle finger to the rise of right-wing populism.

Sentience Machine will be joined by acts including Circus 66, Black Tye and Sophie Kye. Glaswegian-Indian writer Nehmat also joins the bill with a poetry reading, prepared especially for the event.

Music meets anti-racist activism, so come throw some shapes and soak in the dazzling vibes as we unite to celebrate the empowering force of both feminism and the sacred feminine!
